Beautiful varnished cherry tree wood Byzantine budded cross (approx. 1.5" tall and 3/16" thick) with Russian 3 bar cross inside on a 28" black leather cord. The budded trefoil at each end of the cross represents the Holy Trinity. Inscribed to the right and the left are the initials "IC" and XC", being the first and last letters of Christ's name in Greek. On the top and bottom there is the inscription: "NI" and "KA", which in Greek means: "He conquers" or "He is victorious." The two inscriptions "IC XC NIKA" together mean: "Jesus Christ is victorious" (over death and sin). Orthodox, Catholic, and monastic. Get into the Habit!
