St. Michael (which means “Who is like unto God?”) is an archangel in Judaism, Christianity, and Islam and considered a saint by Catholics, the Orthodox, Anglicans, and Lutherans. St. Michael is mentioned three times in the Old Testament (Book of Daniel) and in the New Testament Michael leads God's armies against Satan's forces in the Book of Revelation, where during the war in heaven he defeats Satan.
