MAKE A DONATIONPLEASE SUPPORT THE NEW MONASTICISM & NEW EVANGELIZATION: Help us rebuild the Church and preach the Gospel in service of the Pope."The Holy Scriptures do not know any distinctions," said St. John Chrysostom, "They enjoin that all lead the life of monks." All Christians, as the Gospel teaches us, are called to holiness, “to be perfect as your heavenly Father is perfect,” i.e., to be Saints, and all share in the mission and ministry of the Church for the building up of the Body of Christ and the salvation of souls. Monasticism, throughout history, has been considered the barometer of the spiritual life of the Church; in the state which monastics existed, so existed the Church. Monasticism, as a way of Gospel life, can be lived––not only in monasteries, hermitages, and churches by religious and clerics––but by laymen who have interiorized the life of monks within the "sanctuary" and "cell" of their soul, and who then bring the monastery to the world. MONKROCK is a web-based (online) itinerant (on-the-road) apostolate for the emerging lay monastic or for those who simply want to live more like a monk. MONKROCK is the only Catholic lay monastic apostolate in the world, and the only new monastic movement faithful to the Teachings of the Church (Tradition) and the Magisterium (the Holy Father and the Bishops and Faithful in union with Him). We hand-select and supply the resources Christians (Catholic and Non-Catholic) need to grow spiritually, to spread the kingdom of heaven on earth, and to attain eternal salvation; those in conformity to God's Word as transmitted by way of Tradition through the Patriarchs, Prophets, Apostles, Fathers, Doctors, Popes, Mystics, Monastics, Martyrs, and Saints of Holy Mother Church, those which best serve the People of God, men of good will and the spiritually and materially poor. We specialize in resources––monastic, liturgical, and catechetical––those that help souls cultivate a more profound and holy interior life, foster a more conscious and active participation in the Divine Liturgy and Office of the Church through worship, and empower a more fruitful and meritorious lay apostolate. We pray that through our humble apostolate more men and women will heed the universal call to holiness and the new evangelization, and who will join the new monasticism and the universal seraphic order of monastics––going from Gospel to life, and life to the Gospel. YOU DON'T HAVE TO BE A MONK TO LIVE LIKE ONE. Thank you for supporting our humble apostolate. |
